Privacy & data storage

We designed LetDraw to respect your privacy. Where your drawings live depends on whether you are signed in.

Guest use (not signed in): everything stays on your device

Section titled “Guest use (not signed in): everything stays on your device”

When you use LetDraw without signing in, your drawings never leave your device. Your scene is kept only in your browser (local storage); nothing is sent to our servers.

  • If you do not want anything stored, or seen by us or anyone else, use guest mode (without signing in).
  • The trade-off: no cross-device sync, no cloud backup, and no collaboration; if you clear your browser data, the drawing is lost.

When you sign in, your drawings are stored on our servers (a database hosted on Supabase) so they sync across your devices and are not lost.

  • Only the people you grant access can see them. Access is enforced by row-level security (RLS) through workspace membership and folder access settings (Public / Team-only / Private); other users cannot reach your data.
  • To provide the service (backups, debugging, abuse prevention) we, as the operator, may have technical access to the data. Document content is currently not end-to-end encrypted at rest. If you do not want that, use guest mode.

When you share a drawing via a link (“snapshot”), the content is end-to-end encrypted: the decryption key lives in the link’s # (fragment) and is never sent to the server. So the share server only holds the encrypted data and cannot read the content; only someone holding the link can open it.

  • Export: Settings → Profile → “Export your data” lets you download all your data as a single JSON file (KVKK Article 11 / GDPR Articles 15, 20).
  • Delete: Settings → Profile → “Delete account” permanently removes your account and all data you own (workspaces, folders, documents, comments).

Anonymous product-usage analytics runs only when the operator has configured it, respects your browser’s “Do Not Track” signal, and can be turned off in Settings → Preferences → Privacy. Drawing content is not sent to analytics.

Drawing content only goes to our database/hosting provider (Supabase). Drawing content is not sent to analytics or error-tracking services.
