Presentation toolbar
When you enter presentation mode, a floating black presentation toolbar appears at the bottom of the screen. This page explains every button on the bar and its corresponding keyboard shortcut. Some indicators on the bar (timer, clock, next-slide preview, filmstrip) are off by default; you turn them on from the settings (gear) button on the bar, or in advance from Presentation panel → Tools.

Navigation
Section titled “Navigation”- First slide: goes to the very first slide (
Home). - Previous: the previous slide (
←,↑,PageUp). - Next: the next slide (
→,↓,PageDown,Space). - Last slide: the very last slide (
End). - Jump to slide: opens the slide list; you pick a slide and jump to it (
J). - The current slide number / name is shown in the middle (enabled from settings).
Presenter indicators
Section titled “Presenter indicators”- Speaker notes: a panel that opens the notes for that slide (
S). You write the notes per slide from the Presentation panel or from this panel; the audience does not see them. - Timer: shows the elapsed time. Clicking it asks for a target duration
(minutes); it warns when the target is exceeded. Double-clicking or
Tresets the time. - Clock: the local wall clock.
- Next slide preview: a small preview of the next slide.
- Preview filmstrip: a strip of slide thumbnails (
O). - Auto-advance: advances slides by itself; start/pause (
P). While paused, pressing the button may ask for seconds per slide; a countdown is shown beside it.
Screen
Section titled “Screen”- Black screen: blacks out the screen completely (
B); to draw attention.Bagain or any navigation key resumes. - White screen: whites out the screen completely (
W). - Full screen: toggles the browser full screen (
F).
Live tools during the presentation
Section titled “Live tools during the presentation”- Spotlight: darkens everywhere except around the cursor; draws focus to where you
point (
L). - Laser pointer: a bright red dot at the cursor tip that leaves a fading trail
behind it (
R). - Draw over slide: you draw freehand over the slide (
D). The drawings are cleared when the slide changes; you can also clear the pen by right-clicking. - Live captions: transcribes what you say (Web Speech API;
C). Chrome/Edge support this.
Appearance (from the settings gear)
Section titled “Appearance (from the settings gear)”- Full bleed: hides frame edges and labels; each slide reads edge to edge.
- Focus mask: a cinema-style mask that darkens everywhere outside the active slide.
- Transition animation: a smooth fade between slides.
- Loop / kiosk: loops back to the start after the last slide; with auto-advance it runs without stopping.
Audience tools
Section titled “Audience tools”These features require a cloud/real-time connection (some require sign-in):
- Audience QR: shows a live link to that slide as a QR code; the audience scans it
and sees the slide on their own device (
Q). - Reactions: live emoji from the audience float up on screen (
A). - Questions (Q&A): collects audience questions in a side panel; you can mark each
question as answered or close it (
K). - Live poll: starts a poll with a question and options; votes come in with live bars. You can prepare the poll in advance from Presentation panel → Audience.
- Open presenter view: opens a presenter screen in a separate window (notes, timer, next slide, and controls); handy on a second screen.
Recording
Section titled “Recording”- Slide recording: records the slide canvas and microphone audio into a single WebM video. It stops automatically when you exit the presentation (an open mic does not leak). The REC indicator at the bottom center shows the duration.
Other buttons
Section titled “Other buttons”- Settings (gear): toggle which indicators (timer, clock, next, filmstrip, loop, transition, full bleed, focus mask, etc.) are shown.
- Help: opens the list of all shortcuts (
?orH). - More: buttons that don’t fit on narrow screens are collected in this overflow menu.
- Exit: ends the presentation (
Esc).
